4 Tips to choose your Perfect Engagement Shoot Location

A lot of times couple wonder where they should shoot their engagement session. There just seems to be so many options! We got you, and we’re going to share some ideas and tips to help you make the best decision.

1. Make it Personal!
   The engagement shoot is a project that completely belongs to you and your love only. Make it as personal as possible. It should reflect your personality and the story of you two. It could be where you first met, or a place where you both love. As the location might be somewhere you are familiar with, you tend to feel more comfortable and relaxed during the shoot!

2. Consider the season when you do the shoot
   The seasonality is one of the main factors that determine the style and mood of the photos. You will be able to catch blooming season for Magnolia, Cherry Blossoms or other beautiful flowers during Spring. You will be surrounded by beautiful yellow and red leaves during Fall. Outfits could be affected by the seasonal factors as well. What’s not to be missed is public holidays or any special events held during the times you want to do the shoot. You wouldn’t want your location to be overcrowded with tourists or closed because of some annual events.

3. What do you want to wear for the shoot?
As mentioned above, outfit and location are inter-related. The outfit should reflect your personality as well as be harmony with the location. Decide on a color palette for the shoot just like your wedding and the outfits for you and your love will come in coherence. If you are out in the nature, pick colors that are complimentary to the scene.

4. What do you like to do as a couple?
My husband is a coffee lover! Perhaps if we do it again, we’ll go to a dainty cafe! If one of you loves to cook, perhaps you rent a place for a cooking session with some beautiful photos shot for you! If one of you loves sailing, you could rent a boat or yacht to do your photos at the sea!
